AT&T Inc. is an American multinational telecommunications corporation headquartered in Whitacre Tower, downtown Dallas, Texas. AT&T is the largest provider both of mobile telephony and of fixed telephone in the United States, and also provides broadband subscription television services. As of 2010, AT&T is the seventh largest company in the United States by total revenue, and the fourth largest non-oil company (behind Walmart, General Electric, and Bank of America). It is the third-largest company in Texas (the largest non-oil company, behind only ExxonMobil and ConocoPhillips, and also the largest Dallas company). As of 2011, AT&T is the 14th largest company in the world by market value, and the 9th largest non-oil company. It is also the 20th largest mobile telecom operator in the world, with over 100.7 million mobile customers.

 

Hyundai Motor Company is a South Korean multinational automaker headquartered in Seoul, South Korea. Hyundai was founded in 1967 and it, along with Kia, together comprise the Hyundai Motor Group, which is the world's fourth largest automobile manufacturer based on annual vehicle sales in 2010. In 2008, Hyundai (without Kia) ranked as the eighth largest automaker. In 2010, Hyundai sold over 3.6 million vehicles worldwide.

 

United Auto Workers (UAW) is a labor union which represents workers in the United States and Puerto Rico, and formerly in Canada. Founded as part of the Congress of Industrial Organizations (CIO) in the 1930s, the UAW grew rapidly from 1936 to the 1950s. Under the leadership of Walter Reuther it played a major role in the liberal wing of the Democratic party, including the civil rights and anti-Communist movements. The UAW was especially known for gaining high wages and pensions for the auto workers, but it was unable to unionize auto plants built by foreign-based car-makers in the South after 1970s, and went into a steady decline in membership.

 

Goodyear was founded in 1898 by Frank Seiberling in Akron, Ohio. Goodyear manufactures tires for automobiles, commercial trucks, light trucks, SUVs, race cars, airplanes, farm equipment and heavy earth-mover machinery. Even though he had no connection with the company, it was named after Charles Goodyear. Goodyear invented vulcanized rubber in 1839. The first Goodyear tires became popular because they were easily detachable and low maintenance.

The company was founded in September 7, 1990 by Jeffrey and Morty Seaman, when they sold Seaman Furniture Company.

Honda surpassed Nissan in 2001 to become the second-largest Japanese automobile manufacturer. As of August 2008, Honda surpassed Chrysler as the fourth largest automobile manufacturer in the United States. Honda was the seventh largest automobile manufacturer in the world behind Toyota, General Motors, Volkswagen AG, Hyundai Motor Group, Ford, and Nissan in 2010.
